Refresher Training on Don Bosco School Data Management System

 

The Planning and Development Office of the Salesians of Don Bosco in the African Great Lakes has organized a three days refresher training on the use of an online web portal that will ease the data management among Don Bosco Technical Schools based in Rwanda, Burundi and Uganda.

The first group of trainees are Teachers and administrative Staff of Don Bosco Gatenga Technical and Vocational Education and Training School as well as some members of ProFuturo project coordinators.

This web application has the following features: Student application management, School fees payment management system, Employees management system, blog parts, Graduates and Alumni management system as well as Reporting and data Visualization for various top management Officers.

This web application manages all Salesian Technical schools in the whole province. In Each country, the system works at the Centre level and school level. Explicitly, the web system also manages class, trade and student level.

According to the Job Service Department of the Planning and Development Office, this management system comes at the right time when the whole world is heading to digital time where the use of Information and communication Technology will have the leading influence in different management systems.
