Rwanda: ProFuturo new Coaches familiarize with digital tools ahead of Schools reopening

To prepare them and to familiarize themselves with the use of technological tools that will be used in the implementation of ProFuturo digital education program, from 21st September, 2020, under the supervision of Project management in Rwanda, ProFuturo existing coaches are training new coaches who are ready to go for the implementation of this program in 40 new schools in Rwanda starting with the next academic year.

In Rwanda, Profuturo digital education program started implementation in 2018 and in 2019, ten schools were provided with digital equipment to ease ICT education in the beneficiary schools.

40 new schools are set to benefit from this program whose implementation is coordinated by the Salesians of Don Bosco in partnership with the Ministry of Education through Rwanda Education Board.

ProFuturo is a digital education programme launched in 2016 by Telefonica Foundation and ¨la Caixa¨ Foundation to narrow the education gap in the world by providing quality education of children in vulnerable environments in Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa and Asia.

The aim of ProFuturo is to leverage technology to close the educational gap because it is proven beyond doubt that digital technology can ensure access to a quality education for everyone, anyone, anywhere in the world.
