The Salesians of Don Bosco in the African Great Lakes Province, have expressed gratitude to Missio Belge, for the donation of mountain bikes which will facilitate the transport of seminarians from their hostels to the Grand Séminaire de Kabgayi where they are pursuing philosophy studies.
The gratitude was expressed on Friday September 25, 2020 at the Provincial House, after the handover of the bikes to Brother Diomède Havyarimana, Economer of Don Bosco Kabgayi.
“We are really happy and our students/seminarians will be very happy for these bikes. They will help them get to School easily and cheaply.” Havyarimana said.
In total, Brother Havyarimana received 9 bikes.
These bikes are also more favorable to the protection of the environment as Brother Havyarimana explains.
“Of course, these bikes are good transport means which cannot harm the environment. You know about motor vehicles that emit carbonic gaze and pollute the air. But for these bikes, there are no air pollutant emissions. It is a good transport and does not harm the environment.”
