It was a joyous day as there was a sharing of birthday meal with all members of the community and time for brotherly discussion among all members of the Province.
At the event, Brother Hubert was presented with a gift from his staff to show that there is a good relationship between the leadership and staff team and that the goal of Team work is to continue and achieve more as a project and development office of the Salesians in the African Great Lakes Province.
In his opening Remarks Father Raymond Bavumirangira, as the Director of the Provincial Community explained that Celebrating Brother Hubert’s birthday is to show him that he is in a caring family.
“All we wanted to do is to show him that as a provincial community where he is doing his work, we wish him a very happy Birthday.”
Brother Hubert said that “in fact man grows old and mentally and therefore for him he finds that all of these life qualities God has bestowed them on him.”
He added that he is happy with the Salesian life in which he said, “I am openly telling you the truth that I am satisfied with the life I am living in the congregation of the Salesians.”

“As we work to improve the lives of our beneficiaries, I am proud of the way we work with others and what we are achieving,” he said.
Brother Hubert noted that the PDO Team that he heads is doing the job sincerely adding that we all have dreams of reaching far, even if sometimes are not achieved at all, but “I am happy that the work of helping the youth, especially the poor, is fruitful up to now.”
“I especially appreciate the work we are doing to help young people, especially the poor, as Don Bosco has asked us to do. “He added

Rev. Father Pierre Celestin Ngoboka, the Provincial Superior for the Salesian Province of the Africa Great Lakes, showed gratitude to Brother Hubert Twagirayezu for his efforts and added that having him in the Salesian family is a great opportunity for him and the Salesians.
“We would not have known Brother Hubert if he had not been born, so the fact that we knew him is a privilege.” Father Ngoboka Explains
“So, to be alive today is to be thankful to God because he is the one who gives life and we call him the owner of life and therefore God is the one who gave him life and that is why we should be grateful to him,” he added.
