The construction of the infrastructures for the Employability and Hospitality Centre at Don Bosco Gatenga TVET School, has been resumed after the Government of Rwanda lifted COVID 19 lock down in Kigali.
The Salesians of Don Bosco in the African Great Lakes Province have started to construct an Educational Hospitality Centre in Kigali in order to help young people and adults find jobs and position them to the level of creating their own jobs.
This is part of a long-term Salesians ‘plan to upgrade educational services in order to meet the needs of the job market.
The project includes the construction of a modern school that teaches hotel and hospitality courses including Housekeeping, Food and Beverages, which will further strengthen the existing Culinary Arts trade.
In addition to these planned activities, there will also be a Hospitality Centre that is being constructed in a way that does not harm the environment.
The project is designed to offer hotel and hospitality courses while at the same time serving in a way that is generating revenues from the business services that will be offered at the centre.
This project is financed by the Germany Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development through Don Bosco Mondo which also has disbursed the funding to the Salesians of Don Bosco in AGL for this project.
